Project: Bradford Bowl
Client: Bradford Centre Regeneration / City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council
Role: Transport and Civil Engineer
Architect: Alsop Architects
Bradford already has a much publicised city masterplan, produced by Will Alsop. This large masterplan has been divided into a number of parts and our team was commissioned to develop the central part referred to as the Bowl.
The Bowl is the heart of the city and includes the city’s bus and railway interchange, city hall and existing magistrates’ court. It is the place where people arrive in Bradford and getting it right is about creating the best first impression when people step off the train or bus and venture out into the city. Our team has successfully developed a scheme that is commercially viable and generates the excitement and ambition which Bradford rightfully expects its city to offer.
