We were part of the team which won this International Competition to design a new Millennium Centre for Manchester.The £28m building celebrates the City of Manchester and cities in general; their history and development and their future.The site sits at the heart of Manchester's new Millennium quarter and City Park. It is flanked by the Cathedral, the Corn Exchange and Chetham's School. The engineering design includes an in-situ r.c. frame building structure with post-tensioned concrete floor plates, and an engineered self-supporting steel and glass envelope wrapping around the building frame.
